Mshtml.dll
What Causes the Mshtml DLL Error?
Mshtml.dll is directly linked to Internet Explorer (and an explorer error). The dll helps the browser identify, read, and show the web pages. Without the dll file, there would be significant explorer errors. Web pages are generally written in html (hypertext markup language). Having an mshtml.dll error means that your Internet Explorer cannot read the html language, due to some unknown flaw. Internet Explorer will be able to read other websites that were created in a different language, but these sites are far less common than html sites.
If you choose to use Internet Explorer and do not want to use another browser program, you will need to resolve the mshtml.dll error so that you can begin seeing the websites properly again.
Example of a Mshtml Error:
You might receive a dll error message that looks like this:
“Explorer has caused an error in Mshtml.dll. Explorer must close.”
How to Correct this DLL Error
With many other dll errors, the first recommendation is to be sure that your system is using a latest version of the software. The latest version of Internet Explorer is number 7. If you are using any other version, download the latest version and see if that solves the problem.
You can also uninstall IE. Before you reinstall IE7 make sure that every piece of the old, flawed software is removed. Once you are certain that every piece has been removed, reinstall the newest software available. This, however, will not ensure the removal of the dll error and can be a tedious for the user.
To ensure the removal of the mshtml error, use the system registry cleaner Reg Genie. Reg Genie will scan your entire computer system for any problems and fixes them for you automatically. SCAN NOW to accurately check your system for this error or any others that may be present.
